INTRODUCTION

Department of Radiology, Dr. S.C. Government Medical College is one of the busiest departments with nearly 350- 400 X-rays, 200-250 Ultrasonographies (USG), 50-60 CT scans and 15-18 MRI scans per day. All the modalities are working 24hrs a day including holidays and Sundays.

Department of Radiology has evolved considerably in recent years with new high-end digital X-ray units with IITV, USG and CT scan and MRI machines.

Mission

Department of Radiology is an important department involved in diagnosis of the various ailments in general population. Each and every clinical department needs this department’s modalities to diagnose the illness so that treatment of the patient can be planned.

This department is trying to get a high end MRI machine which is very useful tool for diagnosing various illnesses and for availing Post-graduate seat(s).
